Insurance & FAQS

Credentialed with Capital Health Plan since 1993 — only a handful of offices are actual CHP-credentialed providers, going through a real selection and periodic re-credentialing process.

By choosing a credentialed chiropractor, fees are much more reasonable. Credentialed providers work within the referral network and use CHP's diagnostic imaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

What to Expect

What is your new patient procedure?

On your first visit, you'll be asked to bring any treatment records, imaging, or test results from previous treatment. The doctor will discuss your complaint, perform an exam, and do initial treatment if appropriate. At that time, the doctor creates a treatment plan based on in-office treatment and home instructions. We usually reevaluate progress in two-week increments.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

In most cases, you do not need a referral to see a chiropractor. We make an effort to work together with your primary care provider and any other specialists you may be seeing. Note that insurance companies do require an MD or chiropractic referral for massage therapy, and Capital Health Plan does not cover massage therapy.

What types of insurance do you accept?

We accept HMO contracts from Capital Health Plan, PPO contracts from Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and United Healthcare, and most auto and workers' compensation insurance. Please have your insurance information available when making your new patient appointment.

Uninsured or Self-Pay?

You Have the Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Federal law requires us to give patients who don't have insurance, or aren't using it, an estimate of the cost of their care before their visit.
