Accessibility Statement

Athletic & Family Chiropractic, PL (also DBA Wellness Sport & Spine) is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
Conformance Target
We aim for this site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone.
Measures Already in Place
- Semantic landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Descriptive alt text on every image.
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields for keyboard users.
- Contact form errors are announced to screen readers and linked to their field, rather than conveyed by color alone.
- A pause control on the homepage's rotating photo slider, which also never auto-advances at all if your operating system's reduced-motion setting is on.
- Dropdown navigation menus announce whether they're open or closed to screen readers and keyboard users.
- Third-party trackers (Google Analytics and the Google Maps embed) only load after you accept our cookie banner.
Known Limitation
The doctors' names in the site footer ("Brian Farrell, DC, CCSP" and "Brian Jeffries, LMT") are styled in a garnet tone that doesn't meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio WCAG AA calls for against the footer's dark background. This is a deliberate brand-color choice made with that tradeoff in mind; we're disclosing it here rather than leaving it unmentioned, and may revisit it in the future.
