Insurance & FAQS

When asked, some offices will say that they do accept Capital Health Plan patients. Only a handful, though, are actual Capital Health Plan credentialed providers. Providers in the CHP network go through a selection and credentialing process with periodic re-credentialing.

By choosing a chiropractor on plan, fees are much more reasonable. Credentialed providers work within the referral network and use the CHP diagnostic imaging. We have been a credentialed CHP provider since 1993.

On your first visit you will be asked to bring any treatment records, imaging or test results from previous treatment. The doctor will discuss your complaint, perform an exam and do initial treatment if appropriate. At that time the doctor will create a treatment plan based on in-office treatment and home instructions. We usually reevaluate progress in two-week increments.

In most cases, you do not need a referral to see a chiropractor. We do make an effort to work together with your primary care provider and any other specialists you may be seeing.

Insurance companies do require an MD or chiropractic referral for massage therapy. CHP does not cover massage therapy.
